THE ORE BIN

The Ore Bin kit No. 615 is a simple yet packed with detail ore bin and trestle. Here's several enjoyable nights of entertaining board-by-board construction.

The ore bin can stand on its own or you can combine it with our other Mine Headframe kit No. 616 shown high above. Use it "in town" to serve an industry or let it stand-alone, by the tracks, or way up there in the hills served by wagons.

Construction starts with building the inner frames. Full-sized templates are included. An exploded view shows you how the frames go together. We'll include a laser-cut spacing tool to aid you. The bin planking comes next, then the laser-cut bin house capped with our ribbed seam roofing, and finished off with a bunch of our origianl white metal details- many more than are shown in the photos above.
